Who Can Become a Gestational Surrogate in Florida?

Be between 21 and 40 years old.
Live in Florida.
Have delivered at least one healthy, full-term baby.
Have a BMI of 32 or below.
Have a healthy pregnancy and delivery history.
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Be a nonsmoker and drug-free.
Be willing to complete medical, psychological and background screening.

Requirements to Move Forward
Once you meet the initial requirements to become a gestational surrogate in Florida, we’ll guide you through the next steps of our screening process. This allows us to get to know you, review your medical and pregnancy history, and prepare your surrogate profile for potential intended parents.
Before moving forward with a potential match, you will:
Complete an application.
Personal Interview: Complete a detailed interview with the Creative Love team.
Home Visit: Participate in an in-person or virtual home visit with a member of our agency.
Pap Smear: Provide a current Pap smear or complete an updated screening if needed.
Psychological Evaluation: Complete an evaluation with a qualified mental health professional experienced in third-party reproduction. Your spouse or partner, when applicable, will also participate.
Medical Records Review: Authorize Creative Love to obtain and review your obstetric and delivery records.
Complete a comprehensive laboratory screening.
Background Screening: Complete federal and state criminal background checks, Social Security number verification, and residential history screening. Your spouse or partner, when applicable, will also undergo a background check.
Once your screening is complete and your qualifications have been reviewed, we’ll begin introducing you to intended parents who may be a wonderful match for you. Our goal is to create a thoughtful, comfortable connection where everyone feels confident moving forward together.

Your match matters. You will have the opportunity to learn about potential intended parents and decide who feels right for the surrogacy journey you want to have. A match only moves forward when both you and the intended parents are comfortable.
Screening Before You Match
We complete important prescreening steps early in the process to identify potential concerns before matching. Our team guides you through medical records review, screening, and preliminary approval. Once matched, we coordinate with the fertility clinic to complete any additional testing and obtain final medical clearance.
No Out-of-Pocket
Costs
You should not be responsible for the expenses associated with your surrogacy journey. Covered journey-related expenses, medical care, insurance, legal representation, travel when required, and other agreed-upon benefits are addressed as part of your surrogacy journey.

You will have a dedicated member of our team supporting you throughout your journey. From matching and fertility treatment through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum support, you will always know who to call when you have a question or need guidance.

We coordinate with fertility clinics, reproductive attorneys, insurance professionals, and other specialists involved in your journey, so you can complete your surrogacy journey without having to travel outside Florida.

The right match is an important part of creating a positive surrogacy experience. We take the time to understand what matters to you before introducing you to intended parents. We’ll talk about the type of relationship and communication you would like, your expectations for the journey, important medical decisions, compensation and benefits, insurance coverage, and other preferences that may affect your match. You will have the opportunity to get to know potential intended parents before making a decision. We want both you and the intended parents to feel comfortable and excited about moving forward together.
Once you are matched, Creative Love remains involved throughout the journey. We coordinate with your intended parents, fertility clinic, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other members of your surrogacy team while continuing to be a source of support for you through treatment, pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.
Legal & Financial Protection for Surrogates
Your peace of mind matters throughout your surrogacy journey. After receiving medical clearance from your intended parents’ fertility clinic and before embryo transfer, you will select your own independent reproductive attorney, paid for by the intended parents, to review your gestational surrogacy agreement, explain your rights and responsibilities, answer questions, and request changes before signing. Intended parents have separate legal representation to protect everyone’s interests.
Your surrogate compensation, reimbursements, and agreed-upon benefits are protected through a professionally managed escrow or trust account funded by the intended parents. The account is held and managed by an independent third-party provider outside of Creative Love, with no affiliation to our agency. Funds are managed according to the terms of your surrogacy agreement.
Creative Love coordinates with your attorneys, escrow or trust professionals, and intended parents to help ensure a secure, transparent, and well-supported Florida surrogacy journey.
You’ll have financial peace of mind. Your compensation and reimbursements are managed through an independent escrow or trust account according to the terms of your surrogacy agreement.
