With that said, before going into the specific amounts, it is important to note that at Creative Love Egg Donor & Surrogacy Agency we abide by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Ethics Committee Guidelines governing the payment of egg donors. These guidelines state that compensation should be structured in a way to acknowledge the egg donor’s time, inconvenience and discomfort associated with screening, ovarian stimulation and oocyte retrieval. In addition, compensation should not vary according to the planned use of the oocytes, the number or quality of oocytes retrieved, the number or outcome of prior donation cycles or the donor’s ethnic or other personal characteristics.
Egg Donor Base Compensation
At Creative Love Egg Donor & Surrogacy Agency we offer a base compensation to first time egg donors of $8,000+, increasing from there with subsequent cycles. The base egg donor compensation rewards you for your time, effort and dedication and is given as a gratitude from your intended parent(s).
Additional Compensation for Egg Donors
In addition to the base compensation, we also compensate our egg donors regardless if they perform the cycle in-state or out-of-state.
Out-of-State Cycle Additional Compensation
Often times an egg donor might be matched with an intended parent(s) whom does not reside in the donor’s home state. When this is the case, the egg donor will have some of her cycle monitored locally but will have to travel to the intended parent(s) IVF clinic out-of-state for the actual egg retrieval, a process that can take between 3 to 5 days. Below are the expenses/added compensation provided in these instances:
- Airline tickets for you and your companion
- Hotel accommodations for you and your companion
- Rental car reimbursement (travel companion must be 25 years old or older to rent a car and have a valid credit card). Alternatively, you can be given money for transportation (Uber or similar) during your stay.
- $150/day per diem for you and your companion for food
The recipient pays all of the expenses pertaining to your egg donation cycle, with absolutely no expenses being of your responsibility.
In-State Additional Compensation
If the intended parent(s) you are matched with reside in your state, you may still be eligible for additional compensation/reimbursement, including:
- Gas allowance (if you drive in excess of 75 miles one way from your home to the doctor’s office)
- If your egg retrieval is early in the morning the intended parent(s) will cover the expense of a hotel.
